The Power of Dynamic Harmony

flag.gif

Hapkido is a Korean fighting system redefined in the early to mid part of this century by its founder Choi Ryong Sool. Its techniques range from kicking and punching to throwing, trapping, grappling as well as pressure points and weapons making one of the most diverse arts in existence today. To learn this art is to study energy flow, leverages and the principles of body movement thus making it possible for one weaker in strength to overcome an opponent much stronger. In other words, a Hapkido practitioner would not fight force on force, but would choose the path of least resistance, moving with the opponent rather then against him.

"Hapkido gave me the confidence and focus to make the hard decisions in my career that needed to be made. I owe much to my teacher Master Cha."
"After 10 years in Karate I found myself looking for something more. After one class with Master Cha I was hooked from day one. I began training as hard as I could. I was amazed by his understanding of the science of the body and the physics of the art."
"Master Cha has provided me with far more then a better understanding of what martial arts are all about. He has also helped guide me as a person and as an individual. He was there to provide counsel when there was no one else to, not even family. I can honestly say that without the watchful eye of Master Cha and his guidance I would never have been able to shake the demons of my past. I consider myself a better person to just be able to know him and I am honoured to be his student."
